Frequently asked questions

How much does professional Christmas light installation cost?

Every home is different, so we quote each project individually based on the size of your home and what you’d like lit. Your price includes everything: the design, the lights, installation, maintenance, takedown, and storage. No surprises. Request a free quote and we’ll send you a clear, all-inclusive price.

Do I have to buy the lights?

No. Our lights are leased, not sold. You never have to buy, store, or untangle a single strand. Everything is included in one seasonal price, and we handle it all when the season ends.

When should I book?

As early as you can. The most popular installation dates fill up quickly in November, and booking early locks in your spot. Book by October 31 and you’ll also save 25% on your installation.

When do you install and take the lights down?

We install from late October through December, and most customers like their lights up before Thanksgiving. After the holidays we schedule takedown, typically in January.

What if a bulb goes out or something gets damaged?

Maintenance is included all season. If a strand goes dark, wind knocks something loose, or a squirrel gets curious, just call or text and we’ll come fix it.

Will installation damage my roof or gutters?

No. We use professional clips made for shingles, gutters, and ridges. Never nails, staples, or screws. Our crews treat your roof, landscaping, and property with care.

Are you insured?

Yes. Bloomfield Christmas Lights is fully insured, and our crews follow safe ladder and roof practices on every job.

Do I need to be home for the installation?

No. As long as we can reach the outside of your home and an outdoor outlet, we can finish the job while you’re out. We’ll confirm your design ahead of time and let you know when we’re done.

How do the lights turn on and off?

We set your lights on a timer, so they turn on automatically every evening and off at night. No flipping switches in the cold.

What kind of lights do you use?

Bright, energy-efficient LED lights in classic warm white or festive color. LEDs use a fraction of the electricity of old incandescent bulbs and stay cool to the touch.

Do you decorate trees, bushes, wreaths, and garland?

Yes. Along with rooflines, we wrap trees and shrubs and hang wreaths and garland on doors, windows, columns, and railings.

Do you work with businesses and HOAs?

Yes. We light storefronts, offices, restaurants, and neighborhood entrances throughout the area. Just choose “Business” when you request your quote.
